NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
AND PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS
TO BE HELD ELECTRONICALLY
TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RIVES, JACKSON COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ALL OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:
Please take notice that a regular meeting of the Rives Township Planning Commission will be held on March 22, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. by electronic remote access and will include the following:
1. A public hearing on proposed text amendments to the Rives Township Zoning Ordinance regarding Industrial, including a new definition in Chapter 17; Article 1; Section I7.01; Article 3, Section 17.23B Use Regulations; Article 4, Sections 17.55 Light Industrial District I, 17.56 Permitted Uses, 17.57 Conditional Uses, 17.57A Dimensional Requirements, 17.57B Supplemental District Standards, Zoning Districts; 17.58 District Area, Yard and Bulk Regulations, Article 7 Section 17.85 Required Standards and Findings for Making Determinations and Article 8 addition of Section 17.99.
2. Such other and further matters as may properly come before the Planning Commission.
Electronic remote access, in accordance with Michigan law, will be implemented in response to COVID-19 social distancing requirements and limitations on indoor meeting numbers. The public may participate in the meeting through Zoom access by computer and smart phone using the following link:

Members of the public will be able to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting and such comments will be limited to three minutes per person. To provide for orderly public participation a person wishing to speak must state their name and request to be recognized by the Planning Commission Chairperson. The Chairperson will recognize all persons wishing to speak during public comment.

The proposed text amendment and the Rives Township Zoning Ordinance Map and Master Plan may be viewed at www.rivestownshipmi.org or by contacting the Rives Township Clerk during regular business hours on regular business days maintained by the Township offices from and after the publication of this Notice and until and including the day of the meeting by appointment.
Rives Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the meeting to individuals with disabilities upon 7-days advanced notice to the Township.
